Laavanya and Reuben’s engagement session in Malibu was full of fun, love, and elegance! They wanted to start their session at the Malibu Hindu Temple with Laavanya in a traditional saree and both in all black. I was obsessed with the contrast of the beautiful white temple and their dark outfits – it really made the photos pop!! After the temple we headed towards El Matador Beach and they changed into casual outfits for a more fun and free look. I love when couples do two outfits as it really adds more variety to their gallery!
Malibu Hindu Temple Engagement Session
I was so excited to get to shoot at the beautiful Hindu Temple in Malibu, California with this gorgeous couple. The temple was built in 1981 in the city of Calabasas right outside of Malibu – which means it’s just a short drive to the iconic beaches! We were in awe of the incredible architecture and design of the temple.
The white structure really complimented Laavanya and Reuben’s all black outfits, finding a balance of showing off them and the temple perfectly. I was so happy we had the perfect sunlight during the day to really shine on the couple and temple, making the whole session feel really special and pure.
California Beach Engagement Photos
After we finished at the Malibu Hindu Temple we head over to the beach, El Matador Beach to be exact! One of my personal favorites and easily one of the most ‘Malibu’ beaches in Southern California – the best part is every session here has that feeling but is always unique to my couples!!
Laavanya and Reuben changed into more casual outfits and we headed down for some fun. I absolutely loved the simple jeans and white top combo, and they paired together so perfectly for this more fun and casual part of their session.
