Sometimes you get to a shoot and everything just falls into place. The location, the couple, the lighting, just all works so perfectly to create what feels like the ultimate session. That’s exactly what happened with Erika and Michael! The San Clemente State Beach on it’s own is such a beautiful spot, with a calm and clean ocean view, beautiful rock formations, and even train tracks for some unique shots!

We spent the first part of the day with their two adorable dogs, who were having a blast running around and jumping in the water! There was just enough overcast to give the perfect glow over them. I absolutely loved the way the neutral colors of this beach looked, and how it really gave more emotion to their session.

After moving down to the beach and a quick wardrobe change into swimsuits, the sun came out as it set over the water and all I can say is… oh my god. I could not have asked for a more PERFECT sun set! The way the light fell on them gave me chills and I still can’t believe how perfect it was as I look back on the images now!! Erika and Michael were amazing and not afraid to dive into the water for those *good good* shots. We love an adventurous couple who isn’t afraid to get a little wet! The perfect end to a perfect session.
